If you still don’t know which summer resorts in Bulgaria is the best place for your holiday, just read this article and make your choice.

Sozopol

My favourite summer resort ever is Sozopol. It is situated at 35 km south of Burgas, which is one of the biggest cities located on the coast of the Black Sea.

I am in love with this incredibly beautiful and friendly disposed resort! The old part of Sozopol is amazing with its narrow, cobbled streets and old-fashioned wooden houses. You can feel the romantic atmosphere everywhere: at the lovely restaurants and cafes, cuddled at the seaside street or at the entrance of the old town of Sozopol – a few phaetons are waiting for you to take you for a walk around the town. At the end of the old town you could enjoy the indescribable view of the sea, which reveals from the houses, perched on the top of the rocks.

The St Ivan Rilski Island is situated at the opposite side of this place. If you want to buy souvenirs and cards, you should go back to the phaetons lane. There is a commercial area with many pavilions, galleries and shops next to it. The new part of Sozopol offers a variety of hotels and attractive places for the fans of night life. Most of the disco clubs and bars are located right on the beach, which additionally increases the holiday and party mood! The beach of the new part of Sozopol is larger than the beach of the old one. However, both of them are covered with soft and nice sand. The beach at the old area of the resort is right against the bus station. There is a small park with benches next to it. I strongly recommend Sozopol for spending a memorable holiday at the Black Sea!

Nessebar-Bulgaria

Nesebar

Another top resort in Bulgaria is Nesebar. This is one of the oldest towns in Bulgaria, also known as Mesemvria in ancient times.

The town, located on a peninsula in the sea, consists of two parts, which are connected by an isthmus. The old area is filled with ancient buildings and picturesque churches. At the entrance of the old part of Nesebar there are remains of fortified walls. In 1983 the cultural monuments of Nesebar were added to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) list of world cultural heritage. During the last ten years the resort has turned into a modern European town with attractive hotels, offering excellent conditions for its tourists. The beach is clean, with nice sand. The fans of water activities can go swimming, fishing or diving there. You can also visit the yacht harbor, which is located near the isthmus connecting the two parts of Nesebar. The resort offers a dynamic and interesting night life at the bars and clubs there.

If you are a single or a young couple with no children and you are fan of the big noisy parties, this is the place to go on a vacationSlanchev Bryag (Sunny Beach). The exclusive resort is the biggest one among the resorts at the Black Sea shore. It is adjacent to Nessebar. There are over 200 hotels in Slanchev Bryag. Most of them are four or five-star category. The resort is famous for its numerous night clubs, bars and restaurants, which attract visitors with its interesting shows and great variety of drinks and cocktails. Slanchev Bryag is a centre of many social and cultural activities – fashion shows, festivals and competitions.

Golden Sands

Zlatni Pyasatsi (Golden Sands) is the largest resort on the northern Black Sea coast. It is located 19 km northeast of Varna, the sea capital of Bulgaria I like Zlatni Pyasatsi mostly because it looks like a huge green park with many alleys. The resort is also well-known as a balneology centre. It offers excellent conditions for recreation and spa treatment. There are numerous attractions for children and various night clubs, bars, casinos and restaurants for adults.

If you want to organize a nice summer holiday for your family, you should go to Albena! The resort is 30 km northeast of Varna. It is located next to the natural reserve, called Baltata. The luxury hotels in the resort are built up right on the coast in order to reveal the magnificent view of the sea. Albena is a centre of many sports events. It has also become a place for organization of business seminars, congresses and festivals. If you want to visit some interesting place in the area, you should definitely take a look at the incredible Botanic Garden, which is in Balchik.
